Properly executed squib kick and we probably win as well. Have to execute each and every play.
You do, but I'm with 12. Squibs are overrated. Just kick the ball and play good defense. Don't over-complicate it by trying to do something you don't do nearly as often. Heck, even a kick out of bounds would have ended up better than what happened.

UNA averaged about 10k in D2. The transition has really set our football back a bit. I’m so glad it’s finally over!

RE: ASUN FOOTBALL
Ironically, the one EKU home game I was able to attend this year (vs. Lamar) was the one attendance dud due to a combination of a weak opponent and a very ugly weather day. There was great energy around the program this year.

Just noticed the Biden Cesspool. Interesting. Trump trash or Biden Cesspool?
Well you can sometimes do some good in a cesspool, climb out and clean yourself up, but trash is always trash. Easy choice.
Those are not bad numbers.

End of game situations are not a time to get cute especially if you just took a lead.

RE: ASUN FOOTBALL
I see Jacksonville State hired Rich Rodriguez as head coach. I think that could pay off big. He's had quite a fall from grace but I think he was wrongly terminated from Arizona. I may be misremembering but I felt like they made up some charges against him and then fired him for cause to avoid a buyout and he wasn't doing poorly.

I guess it's good to get a name people know, but I'm always really skeptical at hires that make me think "oh yeah. That guy exists! He was really good at this 15 years ago."
I hope it works out for them. I want fcs call ups to be successful, but I don't love the move. I don't think any FBS school should be excited to get the OC at ULM to be their head coach. But as always when a small FBS is hiring, I'm glad they didn't poach bo.

You guys can keep Bo. We don't want to be the next team futilely trying to run the T.O. at the FBS level. Don't get me wrong ... I love that offense at lower levels, but even in FCS, it has a ceiling. (When KSU wins the Natty, I'll retract that statement. Until then, I think Quarters is as high as that offense will ever take you. Granted, it can take you there on a regular basis.)
We'll settle for the former head coach of West Virginia, Michigan, and Arizona, and the former OC of Ole Miss, thanks.

RE: ASUN FOOTBALL
I wonder how the FBS move will impact Jacksonville St attendance: will the move up cause an increase or will the loss of local opponents far flung ones cause a drop?

RE: ASUN FOOTBALL
Two posts that are very ridiculous in my opinion.
POST# 171----- "... but I don't love the move"
Rich Rod is a TREMENDOUS hire for JSU!!
POST# 173------" will the move cause an increase..... or cause a drop"?
Name ONE school whose attendance went DOWN (overall av.) when they were full FBS vs. previous fcs status.

App's did. Took a few years to bounce back, even winning 10 games a year.

I say drop unless Kennesaw State and EKU joins them because they will not be good for their first 2 years

Attendance next year will decrease due to construction of the new field house, suites, and dorms. Capacity will only be around 15K. Don't worry, we will still lead the ASUN in attendance. ?
