CAA MBB Transfers 2021
Saw another coach reply :
"I’m excited for (Carroll). I had opportunity to take our Post Grad to watch Florida southern practice two seasons ago. Brandon was the first player in the gym & last to leave the court."

Out working others will always take you far. Couple that with high athleticism, and the sky's the limit. Speaks to his rapid improvement and that his best basketball may still be ahead.

It is really hard not to get excited about next year's squad. If you drink the Kool Aid and believe that all 3 incoming Freshman can be contributing members of next year's rotation (and I am not remotely suggesting that they have to be stars), we could go 10 deep with every position on the floor having at least 2 players who can play the position. The great thing about next year's incoming class is that they each play a different position. All three are coming from what appear to be large public schools and teams that were very good this year, and all 3 were first team all state in their divisions. I also think that we are going to see considerable leaps in the development of Covington, Milkreit, and Wight, with Covington playing more under control, Milkreit being totally healthy, and Wight maybe getting a chance to play more on the perimeter.

CAA MBB Transfers 2021
I can't imagine we are still in the mix, but...
"Per sources, Highly touted D2 transfer Dale Bonner (Fairmont State) will be making his decision this week. Bonner a Cleveland, Ohio (Shaker Hts) native averaged 21.1 ppg, as a RS-sophomore."

Revisiting this briefly... what does it mean when a player enters the transfer portal as a rising sophomore and goes JUCO? As a freshman he barely played, but that's hardly unusual.

My first thought was grades.

He also wasn't getting playing time at Elon, so I doubt many (if any) D1 schools were interested in taking him on as a transfer. Maybe he's going the JUCO route to try and get more playing time to increase his odds of landing somewhere?

For those wondering if D2 prospects can translate to the D1 level, the defending NCAA champs certainly think so apparently.

I think Carrol’s game will translate extremely well for us.

Interesting goings on at Minnesota. Luke will now have yet another transfer teammate, as the Gophers add 6'8" forward Parker Fox to the roster. That is now SIX transfer students, not including Peyton Willis (CofC), who has yet to be added to the roster. Thorson is definitely building on the fly.
