UNT and Texas State will resume their series in in the 2026 season, when the Mean Green will travel to face the Bobcats in San Marcos.

The game is the opener of a home-and-home series. UNT is set to announce that four games have been added to its schedule early this afternoon.

UNT will play at Texas State on Sept. 19, 2026. The series will conclude with a game in Denton on Aug. 31, 2030.

UNT has also added home games against Abilene Christian in 2023 and Houston Baptist in 2026.

The Houston Baptist Huskies have added three opponents to their future football schedules, according to their official athletics website.

Houston Baptist will travel to take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Roy Kidd Stadium in Richmond, Ky., on Sept. 6, 2025. In their first and only meeting on the gridiron in 2020, the Huskies defeated the Colonels 33-30 in Richmond.

A former Southland Conference foe, the Lamar Cardinals, will play a home-and-home series with Houston Baptist in 2026 and 2027. The series will begin with the Huskies hosting the Cardinals at Husky Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Sept. 5, 2026. The series will conclude the following season with Houston Baptist traveling to face Lamar at Provost Umphrey Stadium in Beaumont, Texas, on Sept. 4, 2027.

Houston Baptist is 2-4 all-time against Lamar. In their most recent matchup in 2019, the Huskies defeated the Cardinals 31-26 in Houston.

The Sam Houston Bearkats will play at the Houston Cougars during the 2023 and 2028 seasons, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the athletic agreement with the University of Houston was obtained from Sam Houston State University via a state of Texas Public Information Act request.

Sam Houston will travel to take on the Houston Cougars at TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023. The Bearkats will again make the short drive to face the Cougars five seasons later on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2028. According to the copy of the contract, Sam Houston will receive a $325,000 guarantee for each game played.

The Cougars and Bearkats haven’t squared off on the gridiron since a 31-10 Houston win at the former home of UH, Robertson Stadium, back in 2005. Houston has defeated Sam Houston in four consecutive contests dating back to 1948 and the Cougars currently lead the overall series 4-2.

Missed this earlier though there's no exact science here to when this will start... so what I will do is make a note at the top.

McNeese, a member of the Southland Conference, has signed an agreement with Lamar to play a four-game, home-and-home series beginning no later than the fall 2025 season. Exact seasons for the series will be determined at a later date.

Lamar departed the Southland Conference earlier this year and will play the fall 2021 season with six other schools in a group called the AQ7. The Cardinals will then play in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in the fall of 2022.

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels have added the Southern Utah Thunderbirds to their 2022 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the football game contract with Southern Utah University was obtained from Eastern Kentucky University via a state open records request.

Eastern Kentucky will host Southern Utah at Roy Kidd Stadium in Richmond, Ky., on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022. The Colonels will pay the Thunderbirds a $150,000 guarantee for the game, according to the copy of the contract.

The 2022 Eastern Kentucky-Southern Utah contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools in football.

Tarleton is scheduled to play Baylor on August 31st, 2024. We have played once before back in 1921 and Baylor won 35-0. Revenge will therefore be a major factor in the rematch.

The Tarleton State Texans will play at the Baylor Bears in 2024, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the football game contract with Baylor University was obtained from Tarleton State University via a state of Texas Public Information Act request.

Tarleton State will travel to play Baylor at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The Bears will pay the Texans a $400,000 guarantee for playing the game, according to the copy of the contract.

The only previous gridiron meeting between the two schools was almost 100 years ago on September 30, 1921 when Tarleton State was known as John Tarleton Agricultural College. The Bears won that contest 35-0 in Waco.

Copies of contracts for football series with the University of North Alabama and the University of Central Arkansas were obtained from Tarleton State University via a state of Texas Public Information Act request.

Tarleton State will begin their series with North Alabama on the road at Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Ala., on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022. The Texans will then host the Lions the following season at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.

I have family that played for CP for basketball and at the D1 level most athletic programs don't schedule hangout time for their staff and players. Hopefully for NMSU players they get to at least check out Pearl Harbor and be a part of a luau.

A trip to Hawaii is a trip to Hawaii...I think you are looking into it more than you should.

I'm not I know enough ppl who have had a "trip to Hawaii" for athletics and it's anything but. Some programs try to make something out of it other programs don't let them leave the hotel then after the games its straight to the airport back home.

Tarleton has TCU in 22, Texas Tech in 23, Baylor in 24, and the Mother Ship (Texas A$M) in 25. I doubt we will win any of them, though our greatest chance for a W will be against Texas Tech. Though I am sure it will certainly help with financing our athletic budget and give us a chance at some exposure.

Nothing new here but FYI - just came out...

HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston football team announced on Friday the addition of multiple games to its future schedules, including a pair of games against FBS foe Houston in both 2023 and 2028.

The games in Houston are set for September 23, 2023 and September 16, 2028, marking the first game officially on the schedule for the 2028 slate.

Meanwhile, the Kats add a pair of quality FCS opponents to its future schedule with home-and-home series with Sacramento State from the Big Sky and Youngstown State from the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

The Kats will first host Sacramento State on September 2, 2023 before traveling to Sacramento one season later on September 14, 2024. The series vs YSU includes the Penguins coming to Huntsville on August 30, 2025 before the Kats return the game on September 4, 2027.

It will be the first-ever series for the Bearkats vs both the Hornets and the Penguins, but the Kats' battles with UH will be the seventh and eighth times the programs have met. Sam Houston is 2-4 all-time vs the Cougars, but have dropped each of the last four meetings dating back to 1948.
