It will be a candidate with a strong record of revenue generation and increasing ticket sales at a peer or lesser program. I doubt P5 assistants will be very competitive -- fundraising at Oklahoma isn't fundraising at UCF for instance. There's also one strong internal candidate, the deputy AD Scott Carr, who was a DW hire and would maintain the staff and direction.

It'll be interesting who he hires to be the next coach at Tennessee.

What ?? UCF was paying him 1.1 M and he is making only 1.8 M at Tenn (a blue blood)

He was paid more than anyone in this conference. Hell it was more than UF, FSU, UM or USF paid their AD. $ was a factor but it was not deciding factor. It was all P. Manning.
