I think the democrats are coming very close to making Trump a martyr. That appears to be what they want.

But making martyrs is not how you stop movements. If Trump becomes a martyr, then everybody who supported Trump will vote for whomever the republicans nominate, in order to vote against whomever the democrats run. I frankly think it helps republicans tremendously if they do make him a martyr, because it solves a major problem for them.

Trump is already a martyr. The movement is not going away. It's going to take at least a decade to deprogram his followers. Taking away his ability to spread his message is the start (Twitter, disqualification). You'll next see the funding dry up and all of his platforms for radicalization go away. We've never seen anything like this before. It's the greatest threat to the destruction of this nation in its history, bigger than the civil war. This will be a cold civil war.
