It’s not as easy as you think. We had a poster on a Marshall board that used to post visual quizzes. The two most famous were “Homeless Person or WVU fan” and “Porn Star or WVU coach’s Wife/Girlfriend”. Both were incredibly hard. I used to do that with Mexican nationals. At stores or around town I will spot and individual and I will tell myself, American or Mexican national. I'd say I'm right more than 74% of the time when I would listen to them afterward in the stores and I would be right because of their accent. Even if they were dressed Americanized I can spot them, I would have made a good BP.

As for the Left it's so easy to spot them and most of the time Bench's idea of what they look like is spot on. Most of them look a little unhinged too, that's another giveaway. My SIL is the classic Leftist, they also look like they just left working on their gardens, you know sloppy. Unmade hair, loose fitting and old clothes, no make up and long grey hair for the oldsters, the young ones have rainbow tinted hair and tats. You can't forget the flippyfloppers or sandals, in the summer that's all they wear, sometimes even in the cold. I'm very tempted to ask them what their political affiliation is to prove my point but I don't it'll be insulting. Another thing, this description is for the White people because in EP even the Mexican-American Leftist look normal, they're hard to distinguish. It must be because of their conservative upbringing, you know being brought up by God fearing parents.

What % people in EP, born in the USA, consider themselves American or Hispanic? Is Hispanic just a media term to people?

Us Hispanics use the term Chicano to describe ourselves. Many times while in the military if I saw a guy that looked hispanic I would ask them, "eres Chicano"? If they were they knew what I was asking and it didn't matter what state they were from unless he was an Anglicized Hispanic. Sometimes I would be right and there were many times where they would just look at me as if I asked them if they were Martian. Many Italians have Chicano looks and some are even as dark as me, ahem, suntanned as me. LOL

We're proud of our Amerian heritage even the Leftists. They are Leftist because they favor watching the MSM and that's why they believe what they believe and like Catholics you better not try to proselytize them, they'll fight you hard. That's why Hispanic Leftists don't look like the classic Anglo Leftists that we have a thread on. Okay, as far as your question which I just re-read Hispanics (mostly American born) comprise about 80% of our population perhaps that's why our city is so peaceful with a very low murder rate. Which reminded me of an Anglo friend in the military who once asked me, "hey ollie, what's another name for a Latin Lover?" I said I didn't know and he tells me, "a F*****g Mexican". Even I laughed because unlike Liberals I have a sense of humor. LOL

That is good. All of the "Hispanics" I know are Cuban, or S. American. Almost no Mexican ancestry up this way.
