He had a diverse group of voters who won't be impacted at all. The deceased voters aren't going anywhere, nor are the ones hunkering down in mommy's basement. The urban dwellers who voted for him because of "gubmint benefits" don't have jobs to go to or use public transportation. Those that do drive probably own Priuses and smell like a combination of patchouli and unwashed @ss. They're the only ones who will be mildly inconvenienced by high gas prices.

The US is energy self-sufficient on oil and a net exporter.

This really hurts Canada though, Alberta specifically. You know, the people who sold us as much oil as they could pump when the OPEC was talking about production cuts and fracking wasn't a thing?

For now. Wait until more regulations take care of that.

You need to realize that the only way Trump could be president is because he ran against Hillary. AND the only way Biden could be president is because he ran against Trump. People aren't voting FOR anybody.

I agree with that. Thats why I think the mid-terms are going to be a Democrat disaster. Hell, Biden had no coat tails when he was on the ballot and WON. Imagine 2 years from now when the effects of his disdain for even the most basic concepts of managing an economy are starting to ripple through the nation. Aiming to destroy entire major industries while shackling the rest with onerous regulations ---all on the heels of losing 25% of all small business's to Covid shutdowns seems patently unwise......yet, thats exactly where we are heading.

The powers behind and that installed Sloe Biden do not want a strong vibrant economy. They don’t want a strong middle class. They want only a few mega wealthy groups making all the money. You watch - their policies will all lead to those ends. They want the vast, vast majority of Americans dependent on the “benevolent” government for handouts. They do not want an independent citizenry.

So much easier to control the Serfs when they are beholden.........

Keep 'em dumb, keep 'em poor, keep 'em dependent on handouts, and you'll keep 'em voting democrat.

What I find bizarrely disconcerting is that republicans can't figure out how to run against that. Simple--offer a better alternative and explain it.

Newt's contract was a step in that direction, and led to probably the largest electoral victory for republicans ever. Too bad they forgot about that to go chase Monicagate.

I suspect that as soon as that wave got to Washington they figured out that the moneymen would fill their coffers, campaign and personal, if they would fall in line and play politics with things unrelated to making America better.

The money men have figured out to buy off both sides and have both put on a show, but really do their bidding.........it becomes only a matter of degree - but in the end, it’s always what the powerful want and often not in the best interests of the American people.
