What year does Stephen F Austin post season ban end?
Will they be eligible for the WAC tourney next season or will their ban preclude then participating since the result leads to an NCAA bid they, I believe, cannot yet have?

They are appealing to the NCAA to put it on this years season. There was an announcement of that last week. If it comes to pass, they’d be eligible in the first year of WAC

No. To this year.

BTW, for all of us new WAC fans - should we always expect this negativity from you?

You've lost me here. By back, i only meant that i thought they tried to get it a year later, instead of the year it was initially planned for. Some where I read they wanted current students a chance to transfer and that it would be more fair if incoming players already knew it would be in effect.

Thats what this article is saying, if I'm understanding it correctly.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaabk/...r-BB14nMma

"the school petitioned the NCAA to allow it to serve its one-year basketball postseason ban in 2021-22 rather than this year because the team has several juniors who might have transferred had the penalty been imposed for 2020-21, which might have jeopardized their chances of graduating from the school."

A whole lot of 'It wasn't my job' coming from that dude. I'm not saying there wasn't something shifty, but he's not coming across innocent.

Well, he worked in compliance for 30 years and it wasn't happening then whole time, it couldn't have been JUST him.

What a mess. And it went on for 7 years. That's an lot of lack of institutional control.
