That was the reasoning in TN from what I remember.
You can't buy with a CC in Colorado.

Being able to stay anonymous would be awesome.
Some states you can... some you cannot. I just don't remember which is which.
Evidently a guy in SC did it a few years ago and showed everyone how to do it. They then changed to you being able to be anonymous. In NC you can put the money in a trust..but..not a blind trust which is no help covering your identity. I think with that much cash to spend it might be worth a shot at law suit claiming some 1st amendment violation. I bet one could find an attorney in NC willing to take this on contingency.

RE: Got your tickets?
I had always thought I would claim in a family trust (half) and a charitable trust (half). Claiming half in a charitable trust greatly reduces your taxes up front, but does reduce uses. However, you can employ friends and family at your foundation, so you can help them and others.

Yeah...If I gave members of my family a lump sum?...it would be gone in weeks. Id set up trusts to pay them a large monthly check. Basically turn them into Kennedy's.

Yep, that's the way to do it. Set it up where the recepients would get a certain amount with the stipulation that it would only be a supplemental amount, they would still have to work...at anything.
With my luck the recepients would be working for the DNC. LOL

We always get one when it gets big like this. Like to teach the kids disappointment at an early age
We usually grab a couple when it's big like this too. I mean, why not, right?
The Gray Avenger, God rest his soul, once said the lottery is a tax on ignorance. So there's that.
I guess thats about like the ignorance of thinking taxes are not theft.
