We are only 48 hours away from perhaps playing a conference game. Maybe? The Tiggers are a very big team on the interior and Skerry always coaches full contact basketball on the boards. This is the complete opposite of coach By’s team focused on the perimeterwith obvious weakness in the paint. It should be interesting to see which style wins out.
The winner will be 1-0 and in 2nd place behind 4-0 Northeastern.

Does anyone know why JMU is not playing a doubleheader vs Towson this weekend?

I see Towson is now scheduled to play UNCW Monday & Tuesday, but JMU is not scheduled to play again until the 23rd. The league can still get all 18 games in if they schedule some Wednesday’s along with the planned Saturday/Sunday series each weekend.

We will be playing the second Towson game on a Wednesday I think. I hope (fingers and toes crossed) we have a lot of basketball coming up after getting burned by Covid these past few weekends. Be nice to play a team without needing to ask, "Where is this school again?"

No doubleheader because Towson is JMUs travel partner and each team gets a home game in this years series. All other conference games will be back to backs at home or away.

Seems like they could have scheduled back to back days even if they were home and away. 3 hour roadtrip, play a late afternoon game, drove home, then Towson does the same on the next day.

I guess they prioritized Towson vs UNCW because they scheduled them for Monday/Tuesday which is the first time the CAA has gone that route.

As long as the game is played, PG, the pleasure is all yours!

I don’t know Dukester. The women’s bus made it all the way up to Towson only to find out the Towson coach tested positive. They turned around and came home. Seems to me they could have called JMU earlier. What a waste of time.

That’s just the price paid for attempting to have these games during a worldwide pandemic. Dabo Swinney would probably cry about it, but Sean’s not a jerk like Dabo.

It is almost gameday and we Finally get to see the Dukes In CAA action.
It is the 2-4 Dukes against the 1-4 Tiggers but both are undefeated in conference play.
It is Probably not going to be a pretty game with Skerry coaching his full contact basketball and playing volleyball on the backboards.
Can the Dukes hang on the boards and keep Towson from scoring garbage baskets on offensive rebounds?
Will Zane Martin be as good as he was 3 years ago before transferring? He was a 20ppg sophomore and 2nd team all-CAA. Seems like he has not returned to form yet.

The Tiggers haven’t played in 21 days so I am expecting the Dukes to win on the road.

9 games in...We've played 3 teams that are DII or lower, plus 2 MEAC teams. We are almost exactly even-steven on rebounding. I don't like our rebounding chances against Towson.

The game starts at 2, per the CAA Basketball twitter page. There might be some pregame stuff being aired on Flo, which explains the hour difference? If so, Bosch > Flo CAA Pre-game show
