Trump Impeachment Part Deux
Not sure if folks are talking about this in other threads, so here is a dedicated thread where we can scream at each other.

Is there anything more ridiculous than all these Reps speaking for 1-2 minutes each? Good lord. They love the sounds of their own voices way too much (on both sides of the aisle).

If the Dems had more brains then they do, they would have yielded their time in 10-minute increments to the Republicans who have already announced they were going to vote to impeach and let them explain their reasons. Hearing from Rep. Cheney, et al. would be a lot better use of time for the Dems.

Hearing from all the R and D Reps in such short increments is laughably uninformative.

Not much to scream about. Let them impeach, let them have a trial. See where the chips fall. Have eight days to do it, guaranteed. Little bit of an open question if Biden coming in moots the process.

Kind of devolving into Pope Stephen VI territory with this.

They all want their sound-bytes to play for their constituents. They don't really want to explain their reasoning.... and I'm not sure that even the reps who have announced they would vote to impeach would say more than a few words... because even they live in states where there are SOME supporters of Trump at least on some level. This is theatre, not law (as you well know perhaps more than anyone)
