Sending good vibes to Coach McNelis. If there was one thing that I would like to see a cure for in my life time its this horrible disease. Ive lost way to many people I know both friends and family to cancer.

Certainly praying for Coach. What many of you don’t know is for a few years, Marshall and Southern Miss had a really heated WBB rivalry. It was kinda random but those two teams would just lay into each other every time they played, and weird things would happen off the court with them, too.

One thing I’ve learned from rivalries is how quickly it goes from almost spiteful directly to respectful. It’s like flipping a switch.

I saw that she hadn’t had problems with cancer since 2017 until she had COVID a couple of months ago. This caused another issue in her lungs, and last week, they found the newer cancer cells. She’s going to TCU for treatment.

Praying for Coach McNelis, her family, and all the people who love her. She’s been a really good WBB coach at Memphis then back home in Hattiesburg. I know she’s ultra-competitive and she is absolutely a fighter. I hope she gets to patrol that Lady Eagle sideline again soon.

Absolutely. I lost my father to non-Hodgkins Lymphoma decades ago when I was a child. He was a chain smoker when it was fashionable to do so. I vowed as a young kid never to smoke and never have.

But that alone can't guarantee you won't get lung cancer. A very good friend's mother died of lung cancer a few years back. She never smoked, but still lost her life to this horrible disease.
