Thats weird to produce with a INT against a good team in wk 1, and then dont play anymore. Anyway, nothing is actually confirmed on those last 3 transfers actually coming to Louisiana. maybe a 247 crew up situation.

Apparently was an error. Those 3 no longer in the list of transfers. We do have a total of 8 transfers and 18 signed commits.

Warhawks pick up a 4-star tight end Jacob Mathis, that was ranked the #8 TE by Scout and #1 TE-H by ESPN out of high school. Big time recruit. He originally signed with Ole Miss after offers from most all major programs including Bama. Potential to be a star in the SBC. Nice grab for the Warhawks.

On the list at the top of this thread, note Quad Brown came to GSU directly from high school. You may be thinking of Jamil Muhammad, who came to GSU from Vandy as a QB, and is now a LB.

An official release from App on the Stanford transfer Stu Head:

Quote:App State's football program has officially added graduate transfer Stu Head, Mountaineers head coach Shawn Clark announced Tuesday.

A native of Woodstock, Ga., the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Head was a safety in Stanford's program from 2017-19 before opting out of the 2020 season. He graduated from Stanford with a political science degree and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with the Mountaineers.

Head is a versatile, intelligent player who could contribute at several defensive spots. The recipient of Pac-12 All-Academic recognition while at Stanford, he played in 20 games from 2018-19 and started the final six games of 2019.

Head finished that 2019 season with 39 tackles, including eight apiece against Notre Dame and UCLA. He had one tackle for loss in the UCLA game, broke up two passes that season and averaged nearly five tackles a game as a starter.

Head was ranked as the nation's 27th-best safety in his recruiting class by 247Sports as a three-star prospect at Etowah High School. He earned all-state recognition three times and totaled 309 tackles over his final three high school seasons at Etowah in north Georgia, about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta.

Brice is the big transfer headliner, but Stu Head might be just as big a transfer for our defense, not too many 6’4 210 safeties who can cover and tackle in the SBC, kid gives us a lot of versatility.
