You missed that this player's home is in Jacksonville!

This is just like last year: approaching mid-September with no commitments. Last year after attending open houses WM offered Lemond on 9/15 and Hamilton on 9/17 and got them on campus for Homecoming on 10/8; Lemond committed soon afterward and Hamilton committed in January. We’ll see if WM finds a gem or two in the open houses and gets them on campus for Homecoming this year which is later (10/21). There is still Macon Emory’s official visit sometime soon; I’m guessing the Maine home game on 9/23; he took his FGCU official last weekend but still has officials lined up for Delaware and Penn.

I'm not sure that recruiting freshmen at this point of Dane's tenure and with the portal is as important as we feel it to be.

Duke appears to have both these options in its recruiting playbook. Note its six year transfer from Northwestern.

Tough to recruit when you can't be sure if the coach will be there or not. I think this team will be pretty decent if our freshman PG can play in the CAA right away. The transfer kid looks okay, but we lost a lot in Anders Nelson.

So is this the one kid we're still really in on? It's October and we've got at least three scholarships open.
