RE: Elon
I actually think the entire reason we were in that bind last night was his crazy substitution pattern of Chris and Luka. .

I just rewatched the last thirteen minutes of the game.
Doherty was subbed uut of the game at the twelve minute mark having played the first eight and reentered at the nine and a half minute mark. Things went sideways with four minutes left in the game when he picked up his fourth personal....when Coen started subbing him in and out so he would only play offense.
Luca was in at the thirteen minute mark. After missing five straight shots he was subbed out for fifteen seconds. When that happens it's usually because the coach wants to deliver a short message. It wasn't his "catch your breath" sitdown. That sub out came a couple of minutes later after missing another shot. He played all but less than two minutes of the last thirteen.
PS. The Doherty "foul trouble shuffle" was covered by the NESN guys but since you were at the game you didn't get to hear them.

RE: Elon
I watched the last 10 minutes again this morning and you are right. I don't know why it felt to me like they played less but obviously not true. Maybe my brain was placing more weight on the last 4 minutes when they were each out for stretches. In watching it again with a fresh view, though, Sakota was shooting very poorly and Chris would have definitely fouled out.

Yeah. Almost all fouls are committed on the defensive end. Chris has been our best player this year and I want him on the floor for as many minutes as he can handle but he's no good for the team if he fouls out.
