If Marshall and USM went to the Sunbelt, which conference would you want to be in? Be honest.

Conference USA.

Tech would be panicking if USM and Marshall went to the SB. You would say at least we still have UAB but UAB will probably end up in the AAC. Tech was fortunate to join a conference with USM...many USM fans still do not feel associated with Tech or that they are an equal...more like a little sister.

USM does not have any conference rivals unless we went to the AAC, which isn't happening. We have come to terms with that. Might as well start fresh somewhere new.

USM does not have any conference rivals unless we went to the AAC, which isn't happening. We have come to terms with that. Might as well start fresh somewhere new.

Well, if I had to choose who to lose to the SB between LT & USM I'd send USM packing personally. LT has performed much better across the board. Marshall would hurt.

These “best of the rest” conferences won’t happen because it makes no sense if the whole idea on realignments in the future are based on finances. I also think if you joined a conference with USA in its name, you shouldn’t be asking for a geographical compact conference. USA & Belt have different priorities and geography doesn’t fix that. I’d rather not share a conference with people who resent each other.
