Apple turnovers = good.
Football turnovers = bad.

Final Score: Wake 28, Wisconsin 42

2020 ACC Bowl record falls to 0-2, with only 4 games remaining.

Sam Hartman is an absolute enigma. If he were halfway consistent he's be at worst a day two pick in the NFL draft.

If Shane Beamer were still there, I'd be rooting for Oklahoma. Since he's gone, I'm just hoping for a good compelling game.

Can't win 'em all.

It would be nice if the ACC could win at least one this year! UNC? NC State?

This game is very similar to the 2012 Orange Bowl against West Virginia. A bit of a mental breakdown in the 2nd quarter and the game had gotten away. But Clemson does not look fresh like OSU does. OSU looks like they are playing their third game of the year compared to Clemson. OSU was no doubt jacked up for the game.

I don't perceive the same desire of past Clemson teams. It's been a long hard season and the general disrespect that used to fuel Clemson no longer exists. They seem to be missing something without that motivational chip on the shoulder.

It's been a long time since the ACC was skunked in Bowl Season. Carolina is missing a chunk of their offense and is playing a much better TAMU squad. On paper State should beat Kentucky, but who knows.

Well, LSU scored 42 points and gained over 600 yards against Clemson last year.

Bottom line is, Clemson and Trevor Lawrence have now been routed in two straight CFP games.

Dabo is awesome and will re-load nicely, but TL peaked his freshman year, I guess.

RE: Bowl Games Open Thread
I've been honest to all of you since I started posting here that I'm a Big Ten fan first. Last night was a huge win for the conference and for Ohio State, it was their first College Football Playoff win in six years. It doesn't mean I'm not an ACC fan, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't although I admit I'm more of an ACC (men's) basketball fan than a football fan. There is no doubt the ACC is my second favorite conference and I love the ACC/Big Ten Challenge for that reason. I wouldn't want the Big Ten to play any other conference.

Now of course I have no love for a certain Clemson fan here. You've seen him insult my school (well one of my two schools). He's also insulted Notre Dame and North Carolina schools as well. I'm not going to lie that I cheered harder for Clemson to lose because of him although in reality me judging Clemson and its fans because of him is no better than him judging Penn State because of Sandusky. There's plenty of good people at Clemson, I shouldn't let him ruin my opinion of the school.

As for Dabo, I wonder if he just didn't want to play Ohio State all season and last night we know why he didn't want to play them. Sorry, had to do it. Clemson-Ohio State's not a rivalry until Ohio State wins? Guess what, it's a rivalry now.

RE: Bowl Games Open Thread
Last night was the culmination of three very serious problems that have plagued Clemson for two years now: No depth on the DL, a suspect secondary, and a weak OL.

The lack of depth on the DL was covered up by all-everything Isaiah Simmons last year but there wasn't an adequate replacement this year and it showed. The loss to Notre Dame we started the game with one serviceable DT, Brian Bresee, with Tyler Davis out and lost Bresee to injury as the game went on. Last night we were without DEs Xavier Thomas and Justin Foster to start the game the lost KJ Henry as the game went on. Neither time has the supposed talented depth stepped up.

Clemson's secondary has looked like absolute garbage for the past two years. They get beat, play out of position, take poor pursuit angles and don't know how to tackle. They have not come anywhere close to playing to their level of talent. Some of this is because Venables has had to become more dependent upon blitzes to get pressure because of the failings on the DL, but even when they aren't blitzing they are failing.

We've had arguably the best RB in ACC history the past two years and far too many times we couldn't get a push up the middle when it came down to brass tacks. This year Etienne averaged 80 yards a game running the ball which is absolutely criminal in itself and even more so when you watch the film and see that the overwhelming majority of his yardage was when he busted a ball outside because there was absolutely no hole in the line for him to run through.

All streaks must come to an end, and our winning streak over Ohio State is now over. At least we still have a winning streak over this team:

Yes, it's been kind of baffling how in three big games these past 12 months - in the national title game vs LSU, in the first game vs Notre Dame this season, and last night - how Travis Etienne has basically been nullified as a runner. He's been misused or underused or something.

As a fan of a team that lost to Kentucky last year, let me say there's nothing more frustrating than losing to a one-dimensional (run for 281, pass for only 99 yards) team like that. The Wildcats aren't that good, but credit Stoops for finding a way to squeeze out a 2-point win over NC State today.

ACC football remains WINLESS in bowl season this year... Mack Brown, you Swofford's only hope now!

It's a bad look for an 8-3 team to lose to a 4-6 team, no way to explain that. Especially as you say, everyone knows UK is just going to run the ball.

FWIW though, UK has now won three straight bowl games - Citrus, Belk and Gator - beating Penn State, VT and NC State in the process.

Not bad for a basketball school. Well, until this year, LOL.

I'm only casually watching NCST-UK and I'm already annoyed with the number of times I've heard "Big Blue Wall" by Aniz. He seems to say it more than UK chants "Go Big Blue".
