James Monty transferring to his 4th school. Surprised the NBA hasn't come calling.

He graduating this semester. PSU doesn’t have a graduate school in Building Construction. He has many options, but like everything else, you speculate without having facts.

Baylor did win the NCAA National Championship.

PSU doesn’t have grad school in building construction. His future looking very bright. Stay tuned.

You’re trashing former Temple players to get at me. Sad.

The same fans did not speak up when Rose and NPL shot the ball terribly. Resulted in losing record.

Postscript: Losing Scott, Hamilton, and JPL has proven to be Temple’s loss.

HC Mckie is a very nice and good man, but his coaching leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm absolutely shocked. You're not a Temple alum and you're not a Temple fan. So please tell the class beyond being Monty Scott's shooting coach (See: He no longer has anything to do with Temple) why you feel a need to continuously discuss and critique Temple's basketball program.

I'm not on Portland State message boards critiquing a program that I'm not a fan of, and has nothing to do with me.

RE: Temple’s men’s 2020-2021 basketball season
Wrote on AAC message board that Baylor game would be over at half-time that, Baylor would score 75 plus points and Houston would not score 67-points. Baylor was up by 25-points at half-time. Baylor won by 20-points, 78-59.

Only one Houston player scored more than 3-points in the first-half, and he scored 17 of Houston’s 20 points in the first-half. Was ultimately right on all accounts but got pummeled by Houston fans afterwards. It feels good to go out on a limb and see predictions proved true. But if welting, must be ready to absorb the heat..

I simply can’t be a AAC homer. Baylor guards and bigs got to the hoop with ease. Houston hopeless to do anything about it. Knew if Houston only garnered a few more offensive rebounds than Baylor ( Houston only garnered one more) that wouldn’t make a difference as Baylor is a far superior shooting team, and Sampson simply doesn’t put his players in the position to score easily at the hoop.

Houston has won games off of offensive rebounds , put-backs, and stealing the ball by trapping. That couldn’t happen playing Baylor.

Wasn’t surprised that Sampson dumped on his team at half-time by saying his team didn’t play aggressively.

Houston only got to the Final Four because they had an easy path playing low-seeded teams, and still almost lost to Rutgers early on. Houston fans will have a different spin.

RE: Temple’s men’s 2020-2021 basketball season
It’s tempting to take Baylor to beat the Zags after Baylor’s trashing of Houston but one should not do so as Sampson didn’t run an offense worthy of a Final Four team.

The mere fact that Houston scored in the first-half 15 of it’s 20 total points on three’s is proof of how bad Houston’s offense was. Equally bad was Houston shooting but 16.6 percent (2-12 on two’s in the first-half). Hardy one would expect from a top-ranked teams.

In too many games, Houston struggled to score 30 points in a half, including only scoring 32-points against Temple twice. Houston also lost to lowly ECU during the regular season. Texas Tech was the only decent team Houston beat during the regular season, and TT outscored Houston in the second half by applying a pressure defense they should have employed in the first-half.

Sampson does not draw-up dynamic plays that would produce easy hoops. He’s not a creative coach. Out of desperation, he only ran a few creative plays against Baylor at the beginning of the second half.

Instead he settles for a safe HS offense in which few turnovers are committed. He positions has players to garner offensive rebounds off of missed Houston’s two-point jumpers. Two- point jumpers are shot at a low rate, but he encourages for his players to shoot them.l rather than drive to the hoop.

His offense is gimmicky and not worthy of some of the fine athlete’s he has. His system does win games, but when they play a good rebounding and shooting team like Baylor, he’s exposed for the trickster he is. As his offensive rebounding advantage goes out the window.

Can see why Sampson has not faired well in past NCAA tournaments.

Houston suffered a humiliating loss before the nation’s bb fans last night, by being down 25 points at half-time, and losing by 19-points. Houston!s loss falls squarely on Sampson’s shoulders, although I suspect the fans don’t realize that, and will just brag about having made it to the Final Four.

RE: Temple’s men’s 2020-2021 basketball season
Temple’s problem is that it has no offensive nor defensive system that allows players to score easily at the hoop.

Did a bit more under Dunph and is one reason Moorman shot 48.6 percent on two’s playing for Dunphy, but under McKie, Moorman shot 40 percent shooting two’s his first year and only 43 percent on two’s this past season.

Rose shot two’s at 46.4 percent his last season playing for Dunphy, but only 40.6 percent under Mckie.

NPL shot two’s at 51 percent his last season under Dunphy, but only 44.1 percent under Mckie.

That’s a huge drop-off for all three players. One big reason is that Temple players stole the ball under Dunphy and that resulted in easy hoops, and a higher 2-point shooting percentage for players.

The above explain why Temple fell from shooting 50.1 percent on two’s in Dunphy last season to only 44.7 percent on two’s in Mckie’s first season.

POSTSCRIPT: Moorman transferred to UC Riverside and shot 53.3 percent on two’s in conference play.
