Syracuse
The game Wednesday will tip-off at 3 pm and be televised on the ACC Network.

They smoked BC last weekend. It will be interesting to see how Tyson and the pup handle that Boeheim zone.

NU will definitely need to shoot better from the outside than we have in the first 2 games.

RE: Syracuse
Seems like we had a decent first half. Telfort with 11 points, down 32-31. Not bad for 17.5 underdogs.

Tough one. I didn't watch but it seems like we had a 4-5 point lead when Walker left with a head injury. They started to press us and we turned it over quite a bit and ended up losing by 6.

Pretty admirable result, especially with walker out for the last 15 minutes. Defense must have played really well, wish I had watched.

They are not going to send that game film to the Hall of Fame. Man, that game was there for the taking. Some great things to take from it though. Defense and rebounding were pretty good for the 2nd straight game. Our young guys do not seem rattled and play with good compete level and poise considering they have 6 days under their belt. If we could stop turning the ball over even a little, we have a chance to be Ok I think (18-14-21 in the 3 games). We lost by 6 today through sheer effort. Cuse had 13 more FG attempts, 12 more FT attempts and 7 more offensive rebounds. Walker's injury didn't impact the turnovers as much as it did our ability to get into our offense. We were throwing the ball over the Dome with him in there also. But it was much tougher to get any looks without him. Anyway, these are growing pains any rationale person expected. I'm thankful we are having these lessons learned before January. Keep grinding Sunday and Tuesday and see what we've got in January. Telfort really competes. I'm loving him

RE: Syracuse
On WRBB before the game the announcers were asking...What final score would Coen be satisfied with?" They decided that a loss of less than twenty points was the answer. Granted, Syracuse didn't play well but uur star was out for most of the second half. At least we don't have a thirty-eight point loss staining our record like our Comm Ave neighbor.

RE: Syracuse
For once in all of the NU-SU meetings, we finally made them sweat. This was a game we could have won.
As much we love Tyson, his game, and his bravado, every time he hits the floor I gasp and hold my breath.

I'm glad our freshman played well. They obviously made some mistakes... but played well. I love Telfort's game. Stucke, once he gets comfortable will be a shooter for us.

Our height and length bothered Cuse. That and they came out lethargic for some reason. We held Boeheim to just 2 points and Griffin had zero points.

If you asked anyone which Boston team, NU or BC, would lose by 30+ to Syracuse, BC woudn't be the one most would pick. :)

We move one to ODU.

I was watching the TV. Did radio mention if the team was staying (stuck) in Syracuse? Sounds like a nasty storm you all are getting, assuming you live in MA. I now live in the DC area, which allows me to see a ton of road games but fewer home contests than I would like.

You make a good point I was thinking during the game. Our defenders are pretty athletic and long which gives us good versatility and can cause opponents problems I bet

I'm going to assume they're going directly to Norfolk instead of Boston.

I only watched the game on TV.

Per Twitter...

Mike Waters

@MikeWatersSYR
Northeastern forward Chris Doherty will miss today's game vs. Syracuse due to a concussion. The 6-7 senior had started Northeastern's first three games.

Wow, this was a tough watch even by this team's standards. Not (m)any positives to take away from this one. I was hoping and expecting a higher compete level today.
