Exclamation Chip Lindsey out at Troy?

Would this be the fastest firing of a Sun Belt head coach in history? Potentially only 2 seasons at Troy.

No firm sources yet from what I can tell.

Only 2 years would be longer than we gave Summers ... which was 1 year and a few games (and a few games too late at that).

Tyson Summers lasted 18 games

Forgot all about Tyson Summers.

A lot of Troy fans are hoping the rumors are true about Lindsey being given the boot

RE: Chip Lindsey out at Troy?
Troy’s beloved Blakeney was an Auburn assistant before getting the gig at Troy. Maybe they feel the nostalgia of the idea of getting Malzahn. Wouldn’t think Malzahn takes it, only because he’s sitting on a big pile of cash and probably wants another P5 gig. He can sit a year or two and wait for the stink to leave him, then parlay that into another multi million dollar a year job.

Malzahn would be a big get, and I think he could come in do well immediately with all of the talent.

I just don't know if Troy fans would like the idea of having him, especially since some are tired of hiring personnel from Auburn.

RE: Chip Lindsey out at Troy?
I could Malzhan taking the Troy job. Basically there are two ways to get stench of being fired off. You can go back to G5 and win or go the SEC analyst route. I’m sure Saban has already extended his invitation, so it depends on how Gus wants to spend his buyout time on image rehab.

How wild would it be if this was true and it was broken by a Twitter account called The Jboy Show?

RE: Chip Lindsey out at Troy?
According to to The JBoy Show's replies to one of the Troy writer's on Twitter.... Troy is going to fire Chip Lindsey following the ULM game, and he says he has a good source on this, and that it has more to do with "off-the-field issues" than wins and losses.

We'll see... I haven't seen any other outlets talking about this.

Gus has bigger fish to fry. Not only that, I'm sure G-5 isn't his culture.

So Troy finishes with a second straight losing year.

If Chip Lindsey doesn't get fired, then his seat with be an inferno next season.

His record won’t be the only reason he would be fired...
