Vanderbilt Chancellor speaks
The new Vanderbilt Chancellor is promising a new direction for athletics.

Vandy has enormous amount of assets

Do they follow through?

I think it's encouraging to see it from the top though and not just from the AD.

It sound like they have had a quiet message to get up or get out through the back channels. If they want the recognition of a Duke moving forward, or even that of a Northwestern, then Vanderbilt has to improve its public image to match its academics. It's funny that it takes a German soccer fan to see this!

If the head in this direction it will only improve the SEC as a whole.

Now for those who doubt that there would be a back channel communication of get up or get out, when the new payouts head to 68 million, if Vanderbilt is not pulling its weight the message is appropriate. If they invest that money to bring themselves up to speed, at least with the Stanford's, Duke's, and Northwestern's, the SEC would be pleased as a whole that they remain. But it they weren't going to do their part then it was time for somebody who would earn that 68 million to get it.

Agree fully with VU needing to pull its own weight with this new SEC revenue upgrade.

Time to anchor down — for real.
