zoom with coaches
we logged in for the zoom with the coaching staffs tonight. we're lucky to have this group. they seem like class acts on both sides.

amy mallon is already setting up her successor with stacy weiss. she's the "associate head coach" and coach mallon let her answer a lot of her own questions. i'm not saying coach mallon is going anywhere...but i feel like this is how you run a good program that's sustainable. it's almost like a doc working with a resident and giving them more and more freedom.

you really want to see spiker succeed this year...if it goes through to some sort of completion. i've been most worried about his recruiting and it was good to hear him say he's recruiting length. i take that to mean he's recruiting division 1 sized players. you hope the end of this story is successful because struggling in any program...even ours...has to make you feel uncomfortable about your future.

RE: zoom with coaches
I mean look at our current roster. Is there any doubt he has recruited length? Except for House who is sitting out, these are our starters and reserves that get minutes. We area big team overall, especially at the 2/3 spot

Coletrane- SG- 6'4"
Oden Jr-G/F- 6'6"
Bell- PG- 6'3"
Walton- F- 6'6"
Cam- PG- 6'2"
TPJ- C- 6'10"
House (transfer)- G- 6'4"
Okros- F- 6'6"
Amari- 6'10"
Bickerstaff- F- 6'9"
Butler- C- 6'8"

You left Juric, who is listed as 5'11" off the list - he certainly is someone who gets minutes.

To your point though, there seems to have been an effort to get bigger off guards - certainly an improvement defensively from throwing a lineup of Lee, Isabell, and Harper out there. The latest recruit, Terrence Butler fits the mold of tall wing guys as well.

I did because he is the one undersized guy. The point was the rest of our team already has length, especially on the wings. So it should already be obvious that he is recruiting size.
