RE: Awards Thread
probably better than saying pow which is the same as prisoner of war.
i went to the villanova-temple game last night. expected a blowout but temple put up a really good fight. aleah nelson from towson had a good game for temple. i forget towson's coach is at temple now too.
i bring this up because maddy siegrist scored 41 for villanova. she's going to be in national player of the year conversations. it's a shame we won't get to see washington and siegrist go head to head this year unless it's an ncaa tournament game (i'd be fine with that).
big 5/city 6 women's basketball is whipping into shape. i would think about not watching men's basketball all together if not for the podcast. just above everybody is good. st. joe's beat vanderbilt and we have them on our schedule coming up.

Actually, I wrote it wrong and accidentally wrote "POY" instead of "POW". I changed it though.

Richardson took a bunch of her best players from Towson to Temple, which will bring down Towson's program a bit. Temple women always played their home games at McGonagle Hall, but she insisted that if her program was to be big time, they have to play in a big time arena and moved their home games to the Liacourus Center.

I was just giving you a hard time. Clearly we knew what you meant.

wow...yeah...i was looking at temple's roster a little more and didn't realize there were at least 2 other towson transfers. gary was temple's leading scorer last night so their top 2 players against nova were towson transfers. currence from northeastern is there now too.
i was relying on evan to pick up the towson players. he picked up nelson and the coach. clearly he's paying attention.
it speaks well for caa women's basketball last season. they can slide into the aac and give a nationally ranked team like nova problems. that was the 3rd best team too. we already knew how good the league was though.

Sadly though it's the reason why I'm having a hard time getting excited anymore. The CAA is becoming a farm system for the big boys. At least for Drexel WBB, has a program that players want to play for. Washington could have left and gone just about anywhere, but she stayed, and that's a reason why I am excited.
With MBB, when Drexel gets a decent recruit it used to be like, "wow, we get to see this guy for 4 years and watch him possibly develop into a pro player". Now it's like, "this guy is pretty good. How long before he's playing in the Big East?".
