It's an impossible standard and guarantees failure. Positive, not positive, who cares? College age kids are not at risk of serious consequences any more than the flu. The fact we are now blaming students shows just how brainwashed everyone is.
It’s not that college age students are at serious risk of dying or long term health issues, it’s that they are able to transmit it to others who are at greater risk. How many times has that been explained to you?
14 million plus have been infected, and “only” 270,000+ have died...with daily COVID deaths now tipping over 2,000 a day.
Protocols to limit transmission are not ignorant, but comments like yours are extremely ignorant.
Exactly Longhorn!
When the virus first showed up there was no data but at that time science understood and supported the benefits of wearing a mask. Scientist went to work collecting data sifting through many variables and setting standard protocols to help prevent infections. Until we get a vaccine, scientist have determined that masks are the single most effective method to prevent the spread of infections. However, no one ever anticipated how much spread would be transmitted by ass holes.
the data on masks is at best, inconclusive. probably some benefit, but at best marginal, especially 90% of what i see people wearing (cloth Washington Caps Mask - yeah ok), but no harm in complying. yet everyone is focused on masking as the solution. the only conclusive and effective mitigation it seems to me is distancing. so you are left with complete lockdown or managing the spread and protecting the vulnerable. to ask the young and low risk to put their lives and livelihoods on indefinite hold was never going to work.
why we are not focused on isolating the vulnerable and high risk is beyond me.
- if you are elderly or high risk, lock your ass down
- if you are young, healthy and low risk, wear a mask and distance, but go about your bizness
- if you are a business, mitigate the risk as best you can with distancing and masking
- if you are young and healthy and circulating, stay the f' away from the vulnerable
is that so hard?
instead we get, lockdown, everything is cancelled, dont go for a walk, dont drive your car, while our supposed leaders do just the opposite. and we are surprised their is non compliance. our leaders are idiots
