We're going to be looking for a lot more than a DC once the season is over...

Vandy fired a Mason today... really, really hoping that doesn’t lead to us being added to your list.

That might be a good move for Chadwell.

Even if the Boss somehow remains employed, I can't imagine not replacing at least 5 assistants, probably more.

That will teach him to put a woman in a football uniform. I couldn't care less but its not really a good look for Vandy. Except Mason failed miserably.

Being in a position where you need to go to the girl's soccer team to find someone to do kickoffs is not a good look for the head coach.

To be fair, Covid knocked out their entire kicking unit, so they had to resort to open tryouts.

I think all of the coaching changes so far are justified, but I do think some fans are going to have to come to terms that the Sun Belt of 2005 or even 2014 is gone and might not ever be back.

Why we would we want to go back to 2005???

I didn't say we did, but there are downsides if what we've seen if the last few years is the norm (which I think it is).

There's the risk of win totals dropping and declining fan interest. The improvement of the conference unfortunately probably won't boost ticket sales if teams don't win as much. Hopefully the competitiveness of the league at least starts an arms race that puts pressure on major donors across the league to pony up.

There's also the issue with scheduling. The requirement for getting ranked as a G5 team seems to be (1) go undefeated against non-P5 competition and (2) get a P5 win, even if it's over an awful P5 team. It helps to have easy G5 non-conference games, but if you have them fans complain about the ho-hum schedule but you already have money games and the Sun Belt gauntlet to deal with and adding tough G5 non-conference games makes it all that harder. That Coastal could to Liberty and he behind Marshall in line for consideration for the Access bowl tells me all I need to know. about that.

stAte fans have fired Anderson. We've sent word to the administration, but there seems to be a break in the communication line. No ETA on arrival of message yet.
