But the good news is is that it should be stopping in a few hours. And turning real cold all week. Presently about 60 now, but should be freezing starting tomorrow.
(Yay...hit 400 lol)

Well we all know what they say about the word assume.
You went wrong by assuming that we can’t get 2 W’s, and that Napier and the whole team won’t be gunning for both.
Now, if it ends up being wrong sided I can then see him pulling some players. But that is an extremely unlikely scenario.

That wasn’t my point. Given the choice of only one you take the CCG win no doubt. Will be interesting to see if Napier plays fairly close to the vest and even rests players that are borderline for what isn’t really a meaningful game.

That’s where your logic is flawed.

They stay ranked? It has to be somewhere in the team and staff's thought processes that winning out could still mean an AP/Coaches rank at season's end, while one more loss probably eliminates that chance.

Ok once last time: it’s not in his nature to not go full out for a win, period. Which is now also hard-wired into the team and staff. Every game is meaningful. Also add in to the history of this series.
Not saying there wouldn’t be a scenario where he pulls back during the game but I consider that to be very unlikely.

The fact UL has never beaten App and, he is after all a Furman grad, makes me believe that UL will come to Boone with something to prove. The CCG isn't until the 19th, so I don't see anything but the maximum effort from them.

I certainly was encouraged by our play yesterday but this is the year we don't play for the title and lost to Coastal for the first time. Hopefully, we aren't hit by the trifecta.

Only fans come up with the crap about not going out 100 percent to win every game.

Maximum effort is something Napier insists on....on the field...in practice...in the classroom...in everday life.

He holds himself to the same standards...his staff, too.

If anything gets shortened, it's because of weather. That's it.

Agreed! The very notion that Louisiana would lay down and shrink the playbook in efforts to somehow stay healthy for the CCG is laughable. We are gonna throw everything possible at App. and anything less is unacceptable. Lastly, this team is making waves in the National rankings...they’re not just good take an L for anyone.

Picking the underdogs? If GS wins it will be in a nail bitter but I don't see another win on our schedule this season.

Call it a hunch

RE: Week 14 Sunbelt Projections
Hearing a lot of bravado bs, but I can guarantee if Lewis runs a naked rollout and get knocked out of the game or even worse can’t go in the championship game, or if you run your best receiver 30 yds over the middle and gets his head knocked off, and you now go into the championship game without some of your best players then you guys will be screaming for Napier’s head for putting the season at risk. Look, all we are saying is it would be wise for Napier to call a more conservative game, not saying they shouldn’t play hard or try to win, but it would be foolish to roll the dice with plays that would put Lewis, or other star players at risk. But hey, you want to roll the dice with arguably the best defense in the SBC, in 30 degree weather on turf that will be hard as concrete than knock yourself out, not going to be APP’s concern.

We did all of those things in 2016 and we beat you when you had undeniably the best defense in the conference, ranked 9th nationally. Go hard or don't go at all.

The odds of being injured vs. an FCS opponent in 76° weather at home is the same as vs. Ohio St. in 30° weather on the road. Louisiana will do everything possible to finally beat you guys. Not one Cajun fan would be upset with the staff for doing so...not one.

Sure they do. But, that likely only applies if they are either way up or down. Why would they not want to win both and improve their national rankings? Do you really believe if the shoe were on the other foot, we would take that kind of approach? Obviously, you are mindful of having your best for future games but that could have happened yesterday in a game that had no real meaning based on the fact that they have already qualified for the title game.

Does Coastal take that approach this weekend v. Liberty?

CCU is playing for a shot at a NY6 bowl.

If App were in ULL’s shoes and a player needed a week off for the title game they’d take it. No doubt about it.

The goal every year is to win the conference title first.
