Surely you're not serious
Don't get me wrong - losing a winnable game is more heartbreaking than letting SMU or Houston explode on us.
What are you putting on Coach Niumat?
He didn't fumble the center qb exchange.
He didn't impact that 3rd and 11 conversion.
I didnt like the playcall end of the first half. Was that Niumat or Ivin or a check or Goslin forcing it?
See earlier posts - I didn't love bringing Arline in. But we needed spring ball to find a QB1 and COVID didn't let us. After David Forney's death, no contact in camp still affects us but that is what it is in 2020.
As I type I'm sure Ken is taking ownership in the postgame presser but what are you saying were bad head coach decisions?
Yes, play call to end the first half was atrocious - Ken has to override that. Just run the ball and take the 3 pts.
Then...on the final drive, the clock management was horrible. Burned all 3 TOs, only to settle for a 45 yd FG on a 4th and 2. If you're going to use all the TOs, you have to go for the game there. It just didn't feel like we were ever playing to win.
But....root cause of most of our issues is not having a serviceable QB - and that's on Ken - COVID or not.

That ball was on the ground in the scrum, if they would have slowed the film down they would have seen it too. No harm-no foul, though, as you came away with no points on that trip. And what's with stopping the clock on our 3rd down run play with 53 seconds left? As usual, either shady reffing, or really poor reffing.
The clock thing was wild. Because of the injured player we didn’t get like 5 seconds of play clock...protested and the added another second. Never seen anything like that.
