They would have needed the high school running clock rule in this one.

My position is that neither team wanted this game and covid was the easy excuse.

Could have moved it to 12/5 but didn't.

Temple the new UConn. A drain on the conference.

Temple has been bowl eligible for every year in the conference except two, one being this year. This year we dealt with a huge rash of injuries as well as covid impacts on practice and exposure. I realize that you are an ignorant troll, but do try to think a little before typing.

Not to mention the number of players drafted in the NFL in recent years has been great for Temple and for our conference. I was looking forward to de-feathering the Owls this year to help make up for our recent deficit in wins against you guys. I guess that will have to wait until next year.
04-cheers

I don't think there was a whole lot of upside in playing this game for either program. Hope to see Temple strong again next year.

Idk, you're probably right but I was thinking 10-0 going into the CCG just looked that much better than 9-0 since it's double digits wins. Just feel like in a shortened season, every extra W helps impress the committee and this would have been no exception. Hopefully I'm wrong and it really was just an irrelevant game against a bottom feeder. And I mean no disrespect Temple fans, I'm only referring to this lost season. I doubt you'll be at the bottom next year

IMO, it's not that simple in terms of number of wins. Consider...

#4 Ohio State (4-0) vs #14 BYU (9-0). I know that is an extreme example but it seems the committee didn't give credit to BYU for playing the most games in FBS thus far. If Cincinnati wins out including the conference chip I believe 10-0 is impressive enough when you factor in the COVID impacted season. Heck, there's no guarantee other teams won't have to cancel games prior to their potential chip game.

Agree. On all accounts. Cincinnati could have named their score, but even a 40 or 50 or 60 point win would have been derided due to opponent. As for next year, Coach Carey has work to do to repair this team. God willing, football and life are more back to normal soon.

How many spots does UC drop for not Playing?
Pretty sure some worthless "A5" will jump them... Why is Iowa ranked?

Everything coming out of Pennsylvania needs to be questioned these days!!!
