I brought this up in the CFP thread. This is good work. I wonder how we stack up against the p5, I am sure someone has compiled that informations somewhere.

I also wonder what the highest rank was, most of Boise seem to be upper 20s except for 2015.

I thought USF made it in 2017, but they were upset by Houston right before the first CFP and then were kept on the edge the rest of the year.

Finally if SMU can get in for a couple weeks and Tulsa can make it for another couple weeks eight of the nine teams will have more appearence than every team except Boise.

Still that's an impressive showing for the conference and depth.

So I was looking at the rankings.

Boise's highest ranking in the CFP appears to be 19?

While they did go in 2014 they have not been ranked higher than the highest ranked AAC team since 2016 when they started ranked week one, but were ranked behind Western Michigan. They did become the top ranked g5 team for two weeks that year week. Multiple AAC teams finished ranked though Nd Boise dropped out never producing a real.threat to the NY6 since that late November 2016 poll, the week after they took their last poll position in the NY6 two AAC teams appeared in the poll and I believe we have had multiple teams ranked every poll since.

What's considered an appearance? One week or appearance until unranked?

This thread has no link to any reputable source so I am just trying to get the op to state their criteria. That's now thing's work outside of your Dairy Whip employment zone.

Everyone, but Tulane and USF have appeared in the CFP rankings...9/11. No other G5 is over 50% of teams represented. Committee members have shown deference to AAC conference games.
