Heh, Joey is busy playing sports and signing big media deals with his buddies at Flo!

Not even joking. What has he done? TV package sucks. Has he done something to promote the CAA?

I guess arrange conference tournaments and schedule conference games?

Can someone name something he's done to enhance/market the CAA?

So easy - at least it seems like it to me.

In Football or Basketball set up a conference challenge between the MVC and CAA. TV does not have to be a major part, but just have during a 2 - 4 day time frame each team play someone from the other conference. It will be fun.

In basketball we could do it with the A10, CUSA, or A10. Let's do it and have some fun. I don't care if it's picked up by a major cable network. Let's just start a little conference rivalry.

I have no idea what our conference office does. Do something to market the league.

Joey D has been a big disappointment. Hasn’t shown any real vision - only bold move was the Flo deal which has been a loser. I agree on MVC and Caa challenge. MVC had a challenge with I believe the MW in hoops that expired. Conferences align in both football and hoops. It’s a no brainer to if nothing else help schools OOC strength of schedule. Agree to a top 4 in football and top 4 in basketball challenge based on the prior years standings and that’s 4 quality OOC games for 4 Caa schools in hoops and 4 Caa schools in football. If it’s not feasible do one with the MAAC or MAC.

Also Caa hoops should have gone on offense and tried adding schools. He’s just sitting on defense waiting for more schools to leave.

It looks like Northeastern picked up a game at #6 West Virginia this Tuesday. Hopefully we see more of this for JMU and other CAA teams as the schedule is almost blank between now and Saturday.

There are two games Tuesday. Towson goes to Iona. They are in a span of six consecutive games not at the same site as the previous game. Those are two games played, at Iona, hosting and going to you, and at Elon. Most travel partner games are Thursday and Saturday, but you're playing Sunday and Tuesday.

RE: OT - other CAA OOC Basketball games
After 2 weekends the CAA standings have some surprises.
JMU, UNCW, and Towson are undefeated!!! They are also winless.
Northeastern and CoC were 1-5 and 2-5 in OOC games respectively. Of course, they lead the standings right now.

Northeastern 4-0
CoC 3-1
Hofstra 2-2
JMU 0-0
UNCW 0-0
Towson 0-0
W&M 1-2
Delaware 1-2
Drexel 0-2
Elon 0-2

As it stands, the 3 teams that haven’t played will need to have 18 games in 7 weeks. This is setting up for a lot of Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday schedules.

I just hope they play them all- the Caa has already announced seeding will be based on win percentage.

Hmm ... so play 1 game, win it and you are a 1/2 seed?
The seeding could be as bizarre as the CAA standings right now.

Our team does need more games to gel and get experience.

RE: OT - other CAA OOC Basketball games
Well, there shouldn’t be any excuses for JMU as they have played the full allotment of 9 OOC games. UNCW is the only other team to play that many.
Some CAA teams only played 4 or 5 OOC games, several played 7.

It would be prototypical Algerchambeau for JMU to win the first game against Elon and then Algerchambeau Waive the white flag for the rest of the regular season. Hahaha regular season conference champs, #1 seed in the tourney, avoid the Keener-Rowe round, autobid to the NIT.
Brilliant.
