I actually low expectations for us today. Between the bonehead coaching decisions/offensive scheme to what looks like mismanaged off field issues with players, I don't think we take this game.

I do believe Chad is coaching for his job today.

Yup after seeing that first drive, it’ll take a miracle to win this one. Lunsford is safe for now, but this is the nail in DeBesse’s coffin for sure.

Anyone in our fan base that still doesn't think Werts gives us the best chance to win is an idiot. He makes the offense as a unit look better than it really is.

Going to disagree fully here.

I'll be happy to never see another Shai led offense again.

We'll see how Kenerson and Cigelske come along, but if there's no Werts you've got 2 almost sure losses coming up.

We were down multiple starters due to idiocy and have an inept offensive scheme and still almost won.

2020, meh.

We just lost with a fourth year starting QB to a freshman QB. Excuses ain't fixn the problems we have and excuses aren't making Ga state feel any less optimistic about their future.

I'm sure fans on both sides did their share of cringing, but it was honestly a pretty good game to watch. I at least felt like the difference came down to our guys making just a couple more plays at the right time, on both offense and defense. Definitely sucks for Werts to have to watch the end of it from the sideline, of course.

Hope Georgia Southern can finish off its schedule with no bumps in the road. Hope Georgia State can maybe schedule another one from now until Dec. 19 against a suitable opponent that will be able to keep it together and play the game.

RE: Georgia State (GSU) vs. Georgia Southern (GS) Game Thread - Sat. - High Noon ET
Losing Reynard Ellis and Zyon McGee for various issues and Chris Harris and CJ Wright due to the obvious reasons really gutted our defense today. That's a lot of production to lose and still execute at the same level on that side of the ball.

Losing Kennedy really wasn't as big of a deal. However, having a QB that his shoulder was so banged up he literally was dangling his arm after throwing deep and had to come out.....we didn't prep like we should on that side of the ball which is pretty much standard for the offense the last 2 years.

I'm done with this offensive staff.

If Lunsford won't make the changes necessary, I'm done with him too. We've now played 8 games within one score and we sit at 5-3 in those games. One score games are a coin flip.....which means there's plenty of room for regression with the 2 games we have left.

Congratulations Gast. Ya'll made the plays ya'll needed to make at the end of the game when it mattered. We couldn't.

Wait I thought Elliot only recruited SC players when he’s at home on his off days?

Yeah I should have put an asterisk there as this no longer applies until 2025.

But within a week he was on social media in a picture with a semi auto handgun and smoking. So you gave up on a college degree for that?! SMH. Actually ibam surprised more kids don't get into this kind of trouble. But maybe coaching staffs are doing a better job of steering clear of potential future problems.

FIFY
Actually I'm just assuming it was a handgun. I guess it could have been a rifle or shotgun.
