Big deal. South Alabama won their first game in the SBC Tournament since 1995.
Seriously, congrats though!

Volleyball is easily the Bobcats powerhouse sport over the years. If only the football team could find the same level of success.

Volleyball is interesting on the college sports landscape. It's not like I follow it at all, really, but when I hear about results, especially championships, I care about it. It's somewhere at the bottom of the second tier or top of the third tier for college sports. With infinite time and money, I'd support it, and I'm glad there are others who do.
Congrats on this, Bobcats.

Congrats on the win. I think it would have been a much different story if the POY for CCU didn't go down for the match after 1 set with a non-contact knee injury.

A different story . . maybe . . . maybe not . . . you’ll just have to live with your conjecture/supposition . . .
. . . every player that ever takes the field, court, or any other playing arena faces the risk of injury, part of any game.
Perhaps you’ll have better luck next year.

This has just made me realize: That injury to just the wrong player at just the wrong time has to have led to some of the biggest "what if?" stories for fans of all sports. Like Magic maybe missing a three-peat because he tears a hamstring...

No argument from me. But again, injuries (unfortunately) are a part of any athletic contest.
When they strike, all you can do is “next man (or woman) up” and play on.
And sometimes when an injury strikes the wrong player at the wrong time, it can lead a team to “rally” around that players replacement and overcome the debility.

Absolutely. We return all but 1 player.

Sounds like, barring injury(ies), that y’all are in for another good season. ..
