Couple thoughts below....
1. The T.E. position is really deep (Oakes, Cannon, Thomas O.). Odukoya I think will have a great season and a nice safety valve for a relatively new QB.
2. O-Line looks really good on paper. Noticing that when it's all said and done Dooly will end up being a 4 year starter, wow. Very experienced group.
3. Not loving that Jairus isn't listed. I've been saying this for a while that MAC talent for the most part seems to be fairly level. Jairus has exceptional talent and can change game tempo. Hoping he works his way in.
4. We have a YOUNG team. Interesting stat regarding how many young guys will be contributing. RB with 2 freshmen, Alex and Aaron at DT as underclassmen. I like all these guys and pumped to see what they can do.
100% agree on this. He could be such a weapon in so many ways at so many positions. It is hard to know exactly what the issue could be with the COVID19 issues going on, he might not be listed because of something related to that.

I kinda think Grissom not being listed doesn't really mean anything. He may be one of those guys that they've designed specific plays for but will only be on the field for 5-10 plays a game, and those could come at various positions. Probably 8 or so receivers will be meaningful snaps anyway. They should just list a 3-deep at those positions.

He has also had some head scratching tweets of late. Not a great look.
We need him to be a weapon on every drive.

Thomas O will wear '2' this year. Congrats to him.

6.5 seems a little high. I expect us to be a dog, but more like 3.5. That'll line will probably come down.

I might run down to D.C. (Capital Arena) tomorrow and see if I can get 6.5 pts.

This season should be exciting because we literally have NO clue what to expect.
Hutchinson was fun to watch. Is he the answer? Will the weapons come through?
What will happen with the defense? Rush and Scott had moments, but our secondary looked suspect last season with a guy I was pretty high on (Kevin McGill) and lost who I consider to be the heart and soul of last year's defense, Brody Hoying.
Buckle up boys and girls! It's time for the sprint that is the COVID Season!

RE: Game Week: @Kent
It’ll be so weird seeing a secondary without Vince Calhoun, Brody Hoying, and Kevin McGill. Big shoes to fill. I’ll be focusing on them, as well as the D-line. Very tough early test for a relatively green (no pun intended) defense.
Conversely, Kent will have their hands full with our skill position players. I really believe this is the strongest group of pass catchers we’ve had in Creighton’s tenure, and they’ll give Hutchinson the help he needs. We will score some points.

We lost at home 34-26 with Mike Glass at QB, and A much better defense on paper! I think 6.5 on the road is probably fair.......Everyone else seems to disagree! We better score 30 plus points.......Crum is a great for the MAC dual threat QB as well! I think it'll be 31-27 though, and we'll win!

Totally agree. Not sure what to expect. I do agree that we have weapons (Hutch, Boone, Beydoun, Quian, Drummond, Cannon, Odukoya, Grissom). My guess is that the team who can limit turnovers wins (not a bold prediction) but this being the first game will likely boil down to that.

Thinks Grissom is being 'hidden' so Kent won't know what to expect from him.
That's along the line of what I was thinking. He's the X-factor. No need broadcast how he'll be used.

Kaminski was a scout team player of the week. Funny that your number two QB gets that designation running the Kent State offense in practice. Unless of course he is not really the two.

I saw that too. I'm thinking the coaches are playing a little poker.

Having him as Scout Team QB may not have him running the EMU offense, but it gets him plenty of snaps, handoffs, and throws. A whole lot more than if he were waiting behind Hutchinson just to fill in for a few snaps. In this case, both your #1 and #2 maximize their touches on the ball.
