I think Nebraska opened a couple of questions for Ohio State, especially in their defensive front 7. Also that 200 yard rushing game for Ohio State yesterday sure didn’t seem like that. Teague, Chambers or Sermon have to step up or Fields is going to take a beating by opposing defenses.

The running backs are the biggest concern with Ohio State right now. Defensively, I'm not overly worried yet. They replaced a lot on defense and I thought they adjusted very well during the game.

Game notes-

Michigan State had seven, yes SEVEN turnovers!

Penn State outgained Indiana 488/211 and time of possession 40:25/19:35. How in the hell did they lose!

Ohio State running backs had 161 yards, as UTPOTTS mentioned, it felt like about 50.

Maryland could only manage 207 yards.

Northwestern had 325 yards...rushing!

Could be worse. They could've lost to Buttgers! At home!

Playing the spread, my pick 5 for the week.
Note: Never, and I mean NEVER, use my picks as advice in wagering any kind of money, AT ALL!
Picks in bold.

NC State vs.
North Carolina (-16.5)

Auburn (-3.0) vs.
Ole Miss

Oklahoma (-6.5) vs.
TCU

Maryland vs.
Northwestern (-11.0)

Virginia Tech (-9.5) vs.
Wake Forest

I would take UNC because NC State is missing their starting quarterback.

I'll take Auburn and Oklahoma. Maryland has a lot of talent but arguably the worst coach in the conference but Northwestern has a pretty good coach but not the greatest talent on the roster. I'll take Maryland to cover but lose (am I doing that right?). I'll take VT.
I am 4-6 after 2 weeks of picks. If I did this for a living, I would be taking up residency behind a dumpster on the Vegas strip.

Turnovers, missed field goals, penalties, and dumb decisions were the main culprits. It didn't help that once again the Big Ten refs blew a call against Penn State that literally cost them the game. I don't know if it was satire or not but I saw a gambling website (Draft Kings?) was providing refunds to those who picked Penn State straight up to win. Another year, another boneheaded loss. As a PSU fan, I am tired of James Franklin talking about turning into an elite program when they keep losing stupid games like this to Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Kentucky. No excuses.

Well stated and yes, the ball touched out of bounds prior to touching the pylon. How do you review this and not wave off the conversion!?!

Crazy! Do you think 21 days is a bit extreme? I sure do.

A month and a half ago the Big Ten wasn't even going to play. Of course they are going to err on the side of caution.

I really don’t. Every player agreed to this and the ones who didn’t are sitting out. It sucks for him, but it’s the season we have right now.
