This one is a tough pick. I think Coastal is good and I think Arkansas State is well, Arkansa State again. The question in my mind is how good is Coastal?

I don't believe that first statement for a minute. I am concerned about missing two weeks. We have problems coming off a bye week. How will two work out?

I have no idea what to expect here...that's for sure. Coastal is pretty darn good this year, might be best team in the East.

While I appreciate the respect and rankings being given there is no body of work to judge stAte on. 1 loss to Memphis and 1 win over Kstate early in these uncertain times doesn't buy me much confidence.

We'll have to see. I thought we moved the ball well against ULL. We had 447 yards of offense against a team that was ranked at the time, almost 150 more than Iowa State. ULM is now missing two senior starters on their already decimated defense. I have to think we at least can match UTEP (who has had one winning season in 15 years) in offensive production.

The defense UL fielded on Saturday was not the same one that played ISU to start the season. That has been discussed ad nauseam on other threads.
But the defense you saw on 9/26 is still way better than whatever ULM will throw at you, so you’re probably right in assuming you can match UTEP’s production.

GS's offense is off, like way off. If not for athletic plays being pulled out of our QB's hind end on the fly we would be 0-2. Campbell probably would have won in OT. We had to earn all 27 points against Campbell while everyone else who has played them scored at will. We just out athleted them to victory, it certainly was not coaching or skill. I think UL just played down or had a bad game more than GS played better. This game will be telling for sure as GS is still a mystery to all. For me to have faith we can salvage this we need to have similar scores to the teams you have played. It needs to be a 35-10 type score.
