Exclamation Interesting tidbits for Troy v. BYU
* Troy did COVID testing Thursday, with zero positives. All available players will be making the trip to BYU except for one (who isn't a starter).

* BYU will have one of their starting O-Linemen missing because of COVID complications.

-----------------------------------------------------

* This is a match-up between 1984 football national champions:

- BYU won the 1984 Division 1A national championship under then head coach LaVell Edwards.

- Troy won the 1984 Division II national championship under then head coach Chan Gailey.

-----------------------------------------------------

* This will be the only game of the 2020 season that Troy will fly to. All other games will be bus trips, including trips to Jonesboro and Boone.

* This is the first ever meeting between BYU and Troy.

* Current Troy OC Ryan Pugh was BYU's OL Coach in 2018.

---------------------------------------------------------

* Troy and BYU are two of only six teams in history to have won 5 more FBS conference titles in a row. The others are Alabama, Florida State, USC, and Ohio State.

---------------------------------------------------------

* BYU comes in with the #3 scoring offense nationally.

* Troy comes in with the #8 scoring offense nationally.

* Troy is the only school in the nation that has returned its top 8 WR's.

---------------------------------------------------------

Offensive Line Average Height/Weight

BYU - 6' 5", 303 lbs.
Troy - 6' 3", 300 lbs.

Defensive Line Average Height/Weight

BYU - 6' 4", 285 lbs.
Troy - 6' 2", 269 lbs.

Interesting...I'll be watching.

FYI, we LOST our top 4 WR's for the season due to injury.

Looking like 4 starters out for BYU, including their two best linebackers. Two starting offensive linemen are out as well. All this as the line begins to rise in BYU's favor. Not much faith in Troy's ability to compete even with some key guys from BYU sitting out.

Where'd you find this info?

The two we know for sure: OL/RG Tristen Hoge, LB/CINCO Chaz Ah You.

Multiple people on the BYU message board and twitter have said a second OL starter is out as well as LB/ROVER Isaiah Kaufusi. No official confirmation as of yet.

We do too. A win over #18 BYU would certainly help some Troy fans get back on the Chip Ship.

I cringe everytime I hear someone from Troy say “Chip Ship.” Just no.
