I guess it's relevant if BYU beats BSU and makes them go away and all eyes return to the AAC.

I have questions about this mwc plan...

Start 24 October, planning 8 games, with CCG 19th.

So Air Force runs out of weeks to play 8 games if they still visit Army 7 November.
Now Boise has BYU, so they are out of weeks to play 8 conference games between 24 Oct - 12 Dec.

Unless the CCG is the 8th game, giving a week for bye / RonaReschedule and/or an Army, BYU, NMSU game? And I'm okay if the CCG is the 8th game, as well as a division #2 vs #2 and #3 vs #3, etc like the Big 10 says...

But then AF has 10 games and Boise has 9 and everyone else 8?

Or is "8 game schedule" not "8 game conference schedule" ? which would mean, six game reg season conf schedule, plus an Army, BYU, NMSU, etc, plus the CCG week impromptu game...and that all doesn't sound really impressive...

Link? If you’re in a conference you have to be a conference champ but is there a specific rule that says an independent can’t be in it?

BYU can make a NY6 bowl but they don't qualify for the guaranteed G5 spot. That is awarded to the highest rank G5 champion.

You have to be a conference champ to get the access bowl G5 slot. The opponent could be an indy team if they are ranked high enough to slide into a CFP bowl slot (probably would have to be ranked in the CFP top 10 to have much of a shot of that).

OK, thanks for the clarification guys. I did know about the conference champ, but I didn’t know if an independent could get in over a conference champion if they were ranked higher. But hypothetically speaking if UCF goes undefeated and Boise State is undefeated and BYU’s only loss is to Boise State, who gets in?

Won't matter for Byu. They don't get the spot. Boise possible.
