Pregame Thread: Army vs. Cincy
UCF got a lot of national accolades for wiping a bad GT team. I do hope we can put the gas on Army in this one and try to answer with a resounding 10-20 point Top 25 victory.

Agreed. Any P5 win is good for the AAC but the GT Ramblin' Wreck has been a bit of a train wreck in recent years.
Army will be a quality win, especially so if it's a dominating performance which UC does need to raise the top 25 profile and keep the narrative of CFP or a New Year's bowl alive.

UC opens as a -14 point favorite.. Feels about 3.5-4 points too high for me. Looks like the old emotional hedge is in play for me this week.

It's weird. ESPN has us 13.5 pt favorites, but only winning 67% of time. Army has 1 in 3 chance to beat us. Thought the 13.5 pts would have driven higher % win for Cincy. If I remember correctly though we had a 25% chance of winning against OSU last year, so maybe 67% is pretty solid.

RE: Pregame Thread: Army vs. Cincy
Army has a young secondary but hasn't been tested that much this season. September's 19 game with BYU was postponed and would have said alot about their defense.
Their starting DB (including the Apache) has players 5-10, 5-10, 5-11, 5-11, and 6-0 with 1 Sr, 3 Jr, and 1 So. Linebackers are 6-2, 6-1, 6-0.
Bearcats have size, speed, and talent at WR:
Garyn Prater 6-6
Dalrone Donaldson 6-4
Jadon Thompson 6-2
Jordan Jones 6-1
Wyatt Fisher 6-0
Michael Young 5-10
Jayshon Jackson 5-10
Jiair Thomas 6-4
with TEs Bruno Labelle 6-4
Lenny Taylor 6-5
Josh Whyle 6-6
The Bearcat WRs might change their WRs depending the the QB.
I'ld like to see Evan Prater throw to his brother Garyn Prater.
Just play throw and catch, just like Greg Cook and Jim O'Brien.
Army beat MidTenn and UL Monroe with looooong triple option drives.
TE watch: 6-8 TE Cam Jones has dropped from 290 to 278.
Still, nobody in the Bearcats DB wants to tackle him.
Bearcats by four TD's. (27 points).
What happened to the prediction thread?
Did it get postponed from COVID?

Sounds like we can expect plenty of non football related commentary during Saturdays game. Mark Jones will be refusing all police presence for a game with no fans.
I will watch TV and play the radio or the record player.

Mark Jones is making the common mistake of believing that we all give a pile of dry dog crap what he thinks.

Let him sounds like an idiot. Statistically his remarks in regards of not wanting the security police to shoot him accidently make no sense whatsoever. I'll tune into Dan Hoard immediately if subjects outside the game, Army, or Cincinnati come up.
Dumb people believe words. Smart people believe statistical facts. Just my opinion.

Thanks I will hopefully be on a lake fishing listening to Dan regardless, but will use this in the future. Dan and Jim are top notch.

And when something happens to him he'll be the first to complain about the lack of security.

Why do we need a police escort if the Army is there?

Yea pretty convenient for him to choose the game with no people to stage his fake boycott

As opposed to what, normal games where fans try fervently to attack the TV broadcasters?

Nobody cares about Mark Jones. However, I am pretty sure Herbstreit, Reece Davis, Mark May and some others have some guys/gals who are deranged enough to attack them if not for the security detail.
