I have zero tolerance and even less respect for all of these conferences and now UMass that bowed out at the first sign of political motivation to do so, and the lack of guts to follow through to chase the dollar bill.

We knew that things would magically 'get better' by election and NCAA basketball season. Bringing back football late takes the argument off the table of "You refused to play football, so why is it now ok to play basketball during the peak of cold and flu season?".

I just hate the politics of it, you know. Doesn't seem like we can avoid the politics.

I mean, it really bothers me that the Big Ten was so adamant on not playing, now they're all for it. It's another level of hypocrisy.

I hope Marshall never schedules another Big Ten school. I have no respect for them.

With all that said, Marshall should schedule UMass if they will come here. We need games.

RileyLives it was a mis-step and the AD said if he had it to do over again would have cancelled September games. But regarding money, it is ZERO percent related to money. Yes, liberal local health officials will allow NO fans for home games, the money game was cancelled. This was for the players, coaching staff, fans and donors. Especially the players, who have followed all protocols and in over 1800 tests, only had 2 positive during that stretch.

UMass is serious about football, there have been stadium improvements, new Performance Center and new full size IPF. We're a top 25 public research institution and the #1 campus dining for 4-5 straight years. We will be in a bowl game in the next few years. Extremely young, but we are building size and will be looking to play smash mouth football.
