Quote:Maryland athletic director Damon Evans said he didn’t have a specific amount yet, but estimated that testing will cost each university $700,000 to $1 million. A spokesperson later clarified that the conference will be paying for test, but due to how Big Ten revenue is distributed to each institution, a cost at the conference level would likely result in schools receiving a smaller distribution, the Washington Post’s Emily Giambalvo reported.

there is no reason to test every single day

If you're in a bubble, i agree. If it's with a bunch of 18-23 year old kids who want to party and have fun then you probably want to. If you only test them once a week, you have no way of knowing if they left their dorm or apartment and contracted the virus over the previous six days and have now spread it to other teammates. I've seen lots of people walking around in public with no masks on. So many universities are going to online-only now because kids at college have been having parties and large gatherings leading to outbreaks.

There ya go baby! One thing is for sure in the Covid-19 year. Nothing is impossible to do and there are no rules or decisions that can't be modified on a dime.
