Is this good or bad for GSU? I honestly don't know. A good president can make a huge difference in athletics, that's for sure.

You would think as much money that has been spent at GaSt the last couple year for athletics, the next president would almost need to pro sports. Keep the momentum going and finish the planned projects.

Yeah. Was talking to someone about just that right now. Especially where we are situated and not just for athletics I can imagine a lot of folks will have their eyes on this search; Mayor, City Council, Governor etc, etc. I am sure nobody wants to see backtracking on projects.

BTW , Becker's total compensation last year was $2.89M. I imagine this will be a widely sought after job nationally.

One thing I keep thinking about is that usually one of the outgrowths of these national searches is that the new President wants to place their stamp and vision on the organization by putting their own cabinet in place.

We had a president step down in 2018. Clearly Georgia State is just trying to be like Georgia Southern.

For Real, like they could have had a chancellor step down but they had to have a president step down. You know they say imitation is the best Form of flattery.

How are they still in business? Online revenue and really old people? Coupons are even digital now.

And 20 Jan 2021 will mark the date of another end of presidency. I hope Georgia State gets a better replacement.

Ookay....so Becker was an excellent President. Not sure what your own about. And was making almost $3M a year so we should get a hood replacement.
