Another Coog here very happy the way things turned out from the Memphis player mishap. I'm sure that it helped that the BU AD used to be UH's and he remembers what it was like to try to schedule old rivals. It also helps that the teams are less than 4 hours away from each other to make quick travel plans. BEAT BAYLOR!!

RE: Houston Baylor?
It should be said that at the conference level, all of the conference members were in on a plan that would likely be fluid with week to week schedule changes related to Covid-19 & the protocol for playing that was adopted by the conference. And part of that plan was not to forfeit but rather reschedule where possible with conference games having priority over OOC games. But without question, the UH-Baylor game is a win-win.

We haven't even played a game yet and I'm already over this season... socks because the home and home we signed with them is contingent on this year's game being played.

They say postponed but the reality is it’s been canceled. They aren’t going to be able to re-schedule it.

They should postpone the Memphis make up game. We had to wait because of them, its only fair they'd have to wait because of us. We can play them in the New Year.

It’s time for UH to consider canceling their season. We don’t have enough games to be able to gel or even hope to be competitive. There is no point in going out there and hurting our recruiting by playing terrible and maybe winning 2 games.

...ESPN won't let you do that on a new TV deal. I think they'll hold you to playing the full conference slate.

Hell temple is probably still going to cancel too. But at this rate espn doesn’t get a say. Plus I don’t think espn wants to be responsible for making teams play during a pandemic.

I wouldn't want to get embarrassed by Tulsa either. Like Holgorsen's skullet, it's time to cut the Houston season off and move on.

Realistically they should have just canceled college football this year. This is whole season has been an unwatchable joke so far.

Baylor should at lease reimburse UH for travel expenses already incurred. I haven't even seen an apology from BU's administration. Don't you know that Fox Sports is hacked off.

Are we for sure on which program (Baylor or Houston or Both) caused the cancellation with positive tests?

Baylor was forced to cancel because of the big 12’s contact tracing rules. None of the Baylor players tested positive. But the big 12 wiped out an entire position due to contact tracing which requires them to quarantine for 14 days. More than likely Baylor is going to have to cancel their next game too.
