I am watching Georgetown and St. John's from 1985 when they were ranked #1 and #2. They flashed these stats for Chris Mullin in his six games to that point against the Hoyas:

39.3 minutes
26.1 points
65.8% FG%
94.5% FT%

He was loaded for the Hoyas.

The Beast was brutal back in those days. Still is pretty good.

In addition to their rankings, St. John's was #1 in the country in FG%, and Georgetown was #1 in FG% Defense.

That was an interesting match-up. One one hand you had Georgetown's incredible athleticism, and on the other hand Mullin's efficiency - always in the right place without seeming to break a sweat.
