The WAC Commissioner's Cup is only meaningful in years that NMSU wins it. All other years, it's a trash participation trophy that doesn't mean anything. That's how this works.

I had heard that UVU won this year. IIRC, the WAC changed the rules. Glad to see UVU step up and win it.

Here we go. I don't know where you heard the WAC changed the rules cause they haven't. The WAC commissioners cup is a joke just like the conference. You can't have a contest where teams get points for sports other teams don't have. Its like running a relay race and one team has only three guys and the last leg no one is there. GCU should win it every year since they have and can afford to have 57 different sports.

If the conference sponsors a sport, and a school chooses to not offer that sport, how is that the fault of the conference? Do not get me wrong, I am an NMSU grad, but that sounds like sour grapes. Think Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite. Do not blame the conference, blame NMSU for not supporting the sports.

The cup represents the most well rounded athletic department in the conference. Not the most dominant one at the sports they play.
