What's the reason?

From what I attempt to make out, it sounds like NC State has a number of Covid-19 cases within its athletic programs.

They said they had a cluster with no mention of Covid. So that could be a peanut/chocolate nugget cluster or the clusterf**k that is their athletics administration. Could be any thing.

These fast response shut downs are not necessarily bad news, other than for the fact that COVID has pierced the bubble. It allows everyone affected to be tested and/or quarantined so that those unaffected can return to practice as soon as practicable.

There will be some crazy upsets this year.

Syracuse has 3 Starters that still are on the fence about playing.

Agreed. All it takes is for a bunch of Clemson or Notre Dame starters to sneak out to an off-campus party the weekend before a big game and BAM! They're down a bunch of key players and... Upset!

(Say, that opens up the possibility for an underhanded strategy - the opposing team could sponsor a party the weekend before playing those guys... I wonder which SEC team will try that first?)

Nah, it's true. Swofford flew the UNC bimbos over to Raleigh personally in the ACC's black helicopter. It's his final shot at preventing NC State from winning the ACC championship for the first time since Carter was President. Swofford had to do something since the schedule makers gave State such a cake schedule this year.

Lance, I was really surprised the last several weeks to see the girls on Franklin Street and across campus during the early days of the return. Fratty Bagger boys wore some masks, but none of the girls. My kid was freaked out and said take us back home. Much greater percentage of mask wearing at State and Duke.

We used to have quotas that evenly distributed the student body from across the entire state.
I have know of folks that have moved out of Guilford and into Rockingham and Caswell counties to ensure acceptance.
