RE: Semi OT: REPORT Ohio St. REVOLTING against Big 10 and trying to make FOOTBALL happen
Okay so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the B10 really isn't planning any bye weeks? I'm looking over Houston's schedule right now, and it looks like 6 of their games so far have been postponed. What the hell is the B10 supposed to do if any games get canceled? Is Ohio State going to sit out from the playoffs because Purdue couldn't keep their guys in line and therefore OSU could only get 7 wins on the year?
This is going to be a disaster for the committee.

IMO, the committee would give them a pass for one game not played provided they take the B1G chip undefeated. The question is, what if two games are not able to be played? As I posted upstream, the B1G is already playing two less games than other conferences. The other interesting issue is how does a one loss B1G champ playing less games factor in to the equation? For example, Ohio State finishes 8-1. That looms even larger if they finish 7-1 or 6-1.

It also depends on who the canceled opponent is.
If OSU finishes 8-0 or 7-1 because a game is canceled against Rutgers or Illinois, it won't matter at all.
If the games against Penn State or Michigan or the Big 10 West champion are canceled, then it matters a lot even if they're 8-0. If they're 7-1 but didn't play Penn State, they can kiss the playoffs goodbye.
