Yes, it's pretty clear that only players on teams still playing football this fall catch and spread the disease, not players on teams that have canceled their seasons.

If teams cancel their seasons, are they still practicing or doing team activities?

The alternative is players going a Fall with no workouts.

I realize that. I just wasn't sure if there was universal protocol for these schools that have cancelled sports in terms of what they are allowed to do if no season.
If a campus shuts down, for example (or moves to e-learning), I assume these athletes then need to somehow workout on their own at home?
I would think the dangers of many of these athletes not having access or resources to on-campus facilities to workout, long-term, would also pose a serious injury risk (whenever seasons do resume).

I'm really trying to keep an open mind here, but the player safety arguments against having a season just don't seem to fly at all.
And does anyone think these schools holding workouts but having no season are going to have testing regimens as careful and thorough as those that do have seasons?

UConns season was cancelled because conferences are canceling games all together or their OOC games. And UConn football isn't exactly Notre Dame or BYU.
No OOC or cancelled
Illinois
Virginia
Indiana
Maine
Ole Miss
UNC
San Jose
UMass is also cancelled but UConn cancelled first

Why can’t the other 6 practice without them?

Don’t worry, Edsall’s contract pays him $3,500.00 if a majority of his players remain at least 6 ft away from competitive football.

I know it sounded like it, but I wasn’t knocking UConn. I was knocking the whole idiocracy going on in college football.
