RE: W&M Football Origin Story
For complete info on the start of W&M football...and anything pertaining up to 1993...get hold of a copy of the great tabletop-size publication, replete with
many rare photos and interviews of folks long gone...of "Goal to Goal: 100 Seasons of Football at William and Mary".

Compiled and written by the formidable Wilford Kale, Bob Moskowitz and Charles M. Holloway and published in 1997, this huge 369 page book is now out of print and hard to find, but there are copies in the W&M Library or perhaps you may know somebody fortunate enough to possess one.

I am fortunate enough to have one signed in person by every Tribe Head Coach starting with Marvin Bass and including Mike London today.

Since its out of print, would be great if the Alumni Association/Tribe Club bought the rights to this book and made it available to the public online.

RE: W&M Football Origin Story
I've been pouring through this book the past couple weeks; not only is it the content, but the photos they unearthed do an incredible job to bring the stories to life.

Will be posting snippets here and there on the Blog to help publicize and democratize some of the content -- with full credit to the writers of course.

The snippets are great, but doesn't do nearly the justice that the entire book deserves. Someone needs to write the W&M history past the mid-1990s, when the book was published!
