In these trying times, an interesting revenue stream?
Guinness Brewery just signed a seven year deal to be the official beer of Notre Dame, its alumni and fans.

I wouldn't brag about drinking Busch or PBR, tbh.

I like it. An Irish stout and Fighting Irish fans unite. Might I suggest Notre Dame start playing Dropkick Murphy's version of The Lonesome Boatman (written by Finbar Furey) as its teams enter the fields and courts to initiate play?

Starts at the 3:10 mark.

What about Schaefer or Hudepohl? I enjoyed those back in the 1980s.

Heaven Hill, owners of Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Larceny and others sponsors the Evan Williams Bourbon Lounge at the Yum Center. Brown Forman, owners of Jack Daniel’s, Early Times, Woodford Reserve and Old Forester, sponsor an Engineering Academy at UofL.

Louisville is the official fan base of Bourbon, America‘s Native Spirit

It would be appropriate for Alabama to sign a deal with Jim Beam or Jack Daniels, but we won't have any alcohol sold in the stadium any time soon so that's a no-go.

ND has been playing I'm Shipping Up To Boston at the start of home games for a few years now.

Oh, ND doesn't sell alcohol at the stadium either.

The ushers are pretty strict in looking for people drinking in the stands and throwing them out.

ND doesn't like night home games because they don't like people drinking all day pre-game.

But, this is marketing and cash (I assume) and those things are not relevant to that, lol.

When I was in the third grade it became popular, for whatever reason, to ask mom and dad what name I’d be given if I was born the opposite sex. Later, when I relayed my boy name as “Evan Williams” in front of a Methodist Luncheon...my folks weren’t laughing lol

As the proud father of two daughters and the Pops of four granddaughters I can certainly relate. As they say out of the mouths of babes.

That’s a great idea. Wild Turkey is made down in Lawrenceburg, KY.

Wild Turkey was my Dad’s drink of choice. Drank it with him often when I was a teenager. Good memories...

Flying with the Turkey is something most Kentuckians know all too well.

I'm feeling Genesee Cream Ale as the official beer of the Syracuse Orange

Good for ND. Now for Miami to get a White Claw sponsorship; I know someone who works for their parent company who said one of the bars in Oxford, OH sold more White Claw in 2019 than any independent bar in the nation. Probably shouldn't be too proud of that but hey it's kinda interesting.
