RE: Next New Year's Six setup
Having two of the six New Year's Day/CFP bowls (Fiesta, Rose) located out West is not representative of where the contenders and their fans are... I'd love to see the Fiesta or Rose removed from the CFP rotation and replaced with a bowl located in a Mid-Western dome like Indianapolis. I think that would be easier on a lot of fans, travel-wise.

Orlando is a nice vacation spot, at least when the alligators are not eating the tourists, but isn't the Citrus Bowl considered a dump when comparing it to other stadiums?
The only NY6 stadium that's a dump and gets a pass for its tradition is the Rose Bowl. All other NY6 stadiums need to be new and shiny or they are out.
Even the clock is ticking on the Super Dome in New Orleans. If they don't keep that up to snuff, you got newer stadiums all over the south that can take over.
Its NOT the stadium.
Rose Bowl is the best setting of any of the bowls. New Orleans is the most fun spot. Miami has the best weather. That's why LA, NO and Miami have a huge % of the Super Bowls. Those 3 are set. Nothing short of an earthquake or flood will change that.
After that its money. Phoenix brings in a lot of tourists, so it is likely to continue to have the money to get a slot.
After that, its Dallas, Atlanta, Tampa and Houston. No other serious contenders, although Las Vegas could become one. They aren't going to put a major bowl game in the midwest in January.

Yeah, Las Vegas could be in if they put up enough money to get in.
It boils down to something like this: Don't ask people who only watch on TV, because it doesn't matter to them if the games are played in Australia or Greenland. Ask the folks who buy tickets to CFP games and travel to those games with their own money where they want to take a mini-vacation between Christmas and mid-January. That's where the games will almost always be played.

No rotation of playoff hosts. Either set them as particular bowls or bid them out.
Incorporate a second tier of games to include all G5 champs... payments for these bowls will be roughly equivalent to the current participation pay the G5 conferences get.
Retire the committee and go back to the post-2003 BCS formula or another more transparent ranking.
Max 3 teams per conference.
Sponsor a Wild Card Game on Champion Saturday between the top two teams not in a CCG. Winner gets an auto bid to the quarterfinals or (if we keep it at 4) becomes semifinal eligible along with the 10 other conference champs.
The AAC says no thank you.
